What we are about

This is a community for artists who create self-portraits. Open to all who would like to share their art. All genres of art accepted. We are a community of over 500 members, and our numbers are growing by the day!

How to become a member

The only criteria to join is that you have created (at least one) and are willing to share a self portrait artwork . This means that it must be an image (or representation) of you, created by you. No pictures of yourself that your friend or brother or another photographer took. This is only for images of you created by you.

There are no limitations as to what style you create or how you go about it. All kinds of art is welcome here, from photography, to painting, drawing, writing and anything else !

It would also be wonderful if you could put our icon in your journal! (but of course you don't have to!)

If you would like to become a member or have any questions for the admin, please SEND IT VIA A NOTE. A comment left here may go unnoticed.

How to go about submitting your work

Maximum one note (submission) per person per day. If you send us a note with more than one link on it, we will take the first one, and delete the rest. We don't need 10 images of the same person uploaded on the same day, and we don't keep notes once we've dealt with them. >NOTE: If there is a lack of submissions from other users and you continue submitting works daily we have the right to deny uploading your works-only because we would like a variety of works in the gallery.

We require you to have already uploaded the image to your personal DA account. We need this as we link back to your original and encourage other people to comment and fav on your original to save you having to check back here for your feedback.

Simply send a link of the URL (of your original) in a note to us. We will then upload it to our gallery.

Remember, self-portraits doesn't mean it has to just be a picture of your head !! Be creative !!!

It would be great to have at least one submission from all members here so that visitors can get a taste of your style before visiting your personal gallery.

Our theme's are purely for inspiration and it is not compulsory to take part in those.

Occasionally we have Contests with great prizes so keep an eye on all our journal entries.

And lastly, we are a community of over 500 members. It's nice to receive feedback from other artists, so please, if you have a minute, leave some constructive criticism or praise for another ~I-- member!
